Teacher Involvement Beyond Classroom Walls
I am curious about examining the affects of teacher involvement with their students beyond the classroom. Some of the questions that I am interested in include the following:
- How does a teacher's presence and availability outside of classroom hours affect student-teacher relationships?
- Will a teacher's presence during social events inside and outside of school work to promote student social-emotional growth?
- How are teachers affected by spending time with their students outside of scheduled classroom hours (ie tutoring, lunch, recess, after school activities, weekend/family events, etc)
- How are students affected by spending time with their teachers outside of classroom hours?
- Do teachers and students benefit from having a mentor-mentee like relationship?
